Okay Sis, this is one of my favorite tutorials to date! I’m going to show you how to make a smoke and glitter tumbler – using REAL SMOKE!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Stainless Steel Tumbler (spray painted the color of your choice)
- Clear Spray Paint
- Tiki Torch
- Glitter (I’m using Silver Sun Glitter from Counter Culture DIY)
- Epoxy (I’m using epoxy from Counter Culture DIY)
- Plastic Cups (to mix the epoxy)
- Wood Craft Sticks (to mix the epoxy)
- Cup Turner
Step 1: Prepare Your Cup
Spray paint your tumbler the color of your choice and allow it to fully dry.
Step 2: Smoke Your Cup
Moving quickly, lightly run your tumbler across your tiki flame. Be careful not to leave any single spot over the flame for too long.
Step 3: Apply A Clear Coat
Spray your tumbler with a clear coat to seal the smoke. I like to use Rust-Oleum 2X Gloss Clear Coat.
Step 4: Mix Epoxy
Mix your epoxy using equal parts A and B. Stir gently until the mixture is clear.
Step 5: Apply Epoxy
Apply an even coat of epoxy with a gloved hand.
Step 6: Apply Glitter
While your epoxy is still tacky, apply your glitter to the tumbler. I like to lightly sprinkle it over the cup using my fingers but you could use a shaker here as well.
Apply a second coat of epoxy and allow it to fully dry – and you’re done!
So, what do you think, Sis, are you ready to give it a try?!
