To my women (both young and seasoned) growing into To my women (both young and seasoned) growing into new seasons:

-It’s okay to set boundaries and stand by them.
-It’s okay to sit at home on Friday night, alone.
-It’s okay to be uncertain about your next chapter.
-It’s okay to feel pain, and to feel lonely.

But sweet girl.. it’s okay to laugh and smile through it all. Life is a journey, a balance.

And none of us know what we are really doing, anyway.

Just do good, be good, and trust the process for the path ahead of you.

On Monday I sat in my driveway in my car for over On Monday I sat in my driveway in my car for over 2 hours, ugly face crying. Crying because I couldn’t see past the rain. Past the storm.

Today I’ve had one of the best days I’ve had in a while, because I chose to flip the script. Tonight I’m celebrating everything that is going right, and checking the pain at the door. Will it revisit? Yes. But right now, I’m counting all the things that are going RIGHT.

The past couple of weeks I’ve been struggling mo The past couple of weeks I’ve been struggling more than usual. Maybe it’s situational, maybe it’s seasonal (bring on the sun), maybe it’s a combination of things. Sometimes I can’t put a pin on the exact thing that I’m struggling with. I think I’ve not given myself enough grace to feel. To sit with the pain, and let it change me how it’s meant to. While I’ve gone through so many tough times in life, I’ve given myself a time frame. “Okay it’s been x amount of time, I have to get over this.” But that’s not fair to our souls.. give yourself all the time you need. Healing is not linear. It’s difficult and different for us all.

Tonight I finished up about 4,000 Valentine’s Da Tonight I finished up about 4,000 Valentine’s Day cards for my girls to take to school tomorrow.

I went through a lot of emotions as I made cards for these littles. I’ve never been one to care for this particular holiday, because I think we should show those we care about, how important they are to us daily. Then I realized, that’s not what they are doing. They are simply taking this day to dedicate showing appreciation to their friends.

So this Valentine’s Day, this single mama will be making sure everyone that surrounds me knows how important they are to me.

I’ve been dreading this holiday and being alone during it. But tonight it hit me.. I’m not alone at all. And neither are you. ❤️❤️
It all comes back to this. To passion. To hard wor It all comes back to this. To passion. To hard work. To drive. Sometimes I feel like I start to lose it.. to the battle in my mind, in broken hearts and moments of weakness. But I keep going, because somewhere out there, someone else is struggling too. So here we are together, connected in this little space, sharing the things we love. The things that allow hurt to fade away for a moment.. and I know it will return when the house it silent and I’m lying in the dark. But in this photo, in these moments when work has purpose, and meaning, I am happy.

Thank you for being here. For every word of support. For challenging me to show up every day and keep going. For the messages, the comments, the understanding. For allowing me to be human and open and share this chapter and journey of my life with you. For allowing me to have a voice, and sharing it with me.

Thank you for being in my corner. It keeps me going, even when I feel like it’s impossible. We’re in this together. ✨💕
