DIY Glitter Bangle with UV Resin

I am so excited to share today’s tutorial with you because not only is it a super quick and easy project (I’m talking MINUTES, y’all!) but it’s also perfect for gifting!

Today I’m going to show how to create beautiful, one of a kind resin jewelry using hildie & jo UV Resin from Joann Craft Stores. It’s beyond easy and the results are so beautiful and unique – you’ll love creating this simple project!

Ready? Here’s what you’ll need:

UV Resin (I used hildie & jo UV Resin)

Silicone Mold (I used the hildie & jo resin smooth bracelet silicone mold)

Silicone Cups for mixing (I used the hildie & jo resin Silicone Cups and Sticks set)

Resin Mixing Sticks (I used the hildie & jo resin gem mixing sticks)

Glitter (I used the hildie & jo Glitter Galaxy Mutli set)

UV Light (I used the hildie & jo Resin Flow Through Light)

Step 1: Mix Resin and Glitter

One of the really cool parts about UV resin is that it’s a one-step resin – so no measuring or mixing is required!

I am using two different colors for glitter for my bangle, so I’m using two cups to mix the glitter and the resin – one for each color.

Pro Tip: The more glitter you add, the more opaque your finished piece will be – so, I like to add lots of glitter to make it really pop!

Step 2: Fill Your Mold

Gently open the mold and pour in the resin mixture.

Note: UV resin tends to run when you pour it, so you want to gently pour it in the mold and allow it to run through the bangle. Since I am doing two colors of glitter, I’m going to add the other color starting at the other side and allow them to mix together to create a really fun look.

Pro Tip: If your mold is not completely full, you can top off the mold with a little bit of clear UV resin. It will fill in any areas that aren’t all the way full and without altering the look of your finished bangle.

Note: UV resin is safe to use and will easily wash off your hands, but I do recommend wearing gloves if you’re at all sensitive.

Step 3: Cure the Resin

Now it’s time to cure and harden the resin. UV resin is cured using UV light and takes only a few minutes to harden!

Simply slide the filled mold under your UV lamp. My hildie & jo flow through lamp automatically turns on when you slide the mold under it and automatically turns off when it’s time to remove it.

Step 4: Demold

Now for the fun part! It’s time to demold your brand new creation!

Gently pull the mold away from the hardened resin. If you notice any spots that are still a little soft, you can pop it back under the light to cure a bit longer.

Note: it will be slightly warm to the touch when you remove it from the UV light. You can let it cool for a few minutes if needed.

Step 5: Enjoy!

That’s it – your new UV resin bangle is done and ready to wear! Can you believe how easy that was?!

If you enjoyed this tutorial, head over to YouTube to see the steps above in action! And while you’re there be sure to subscribe to my channel for lots of crafting tips, tricks, and more tutorials just like this one.

Here’s the truth. The whole truth. I watch my c Here’s the truth. The whole truth.

I watch my creative peers around me crushing it, killing it, and I am their biggest cheerleader. There’s nothing I love more than to see people succeed- especially in their passion. On the other hand, there is a side of me that I can’t shake- my hustle isn’t strong enough, I’m not working through projects quickly enough, I’M not enough.

My heart tells me those things. My mind corrects them.

So tonight, it was an overload. A breakdown. A full on, call your friend, hyperventilate in the kitchen floor breakdown. We talked a long time. She talked to me about the hard stuff. I’m not taking time for myself. I’m not accepting the fact I’ve been through a lot of trauma these last few months. I’m a single mom, and it’s a lot. It’s all a lot. But it’s not impossible. It’s not my final chapter.

But this is part of my story. My messy, imperfect journey.

We’re struggling, all of us. This year we’ve all had our trials, and I’ve had my share of mine. One day, I will find myself again. I will find love again. I will be worthy.

But not until I allow myself to be.

Be worthy, with me. ✨💕
An open letter to my daughters: Harlow and Mayer, An open letter to my daughters:

Harlow and Mayer,

I know you get frustrated. I know it’s hard for you to understand why I stay in my office too long, and why you can’t see me for hours at a time. I know you don’t understand why I say “give me just ten more minutes,” and how that turns into hours. You’ve watched me leave for days at a time, I’ve FaceTimed you in another time zone while you were going to sleep, and brought you back tshirts from other states I’ve visited. You watch me draw images, not knowing what they are for, only knowing I’m busy in that moment.

Everything I do, I do for you. All of the long hours, the dedication. I want to show you what it means to work hard. I want you to take pride in what you do, and I want you to have the passion and drive to do it.

But girls.. we help people with what I do. We bring light into darkness. I don’t think there could be any more honor in life than that.

And when it’s your time, to choose how to impact the world.. you will never be ready. Just start. ❤️❤️

When my daily lives started this week, my anxiety When my daily lives started this week, my anxiety was to the max. On Sunday, the night before the 5 day event started, I thought of all the reasons I should cancel. I had sent out emails, made reminder posts.. and yet, the entire time I was begging myself to cancel.

Why? It wasn’t the fear of being live in a group of 265k+, it wasn’t the fear of something going wrong, or the fear of failing. It was the fear that I had lost motivation and inspiration, and I didn’t know what to do about it.

So not knowing.. I just went for it. I muted the doubt and dread and started the lives. I started crafting. And then.. you showed up.

You spoke kind words, you encouraged me, you were there with me. I quickly realized why I had lost my drive. I had lost the feeling of connection. The feeling of being with someone, even if it’s over a shared screen.

This week, over the course of 5 days, you have restored my spirit. I’m so thankful for all of the love you’ve shown me. Please don’t ever forget the power of words, how even just a quick compliment or word of hope can breathe life into someone.

And we never know who it is that needs that whisper of life spoken back into them again..

I gave tips on how to get that stained look without using actual stain, and it’s a game changer. We now have our stocking hung on our chimney (well, mantle) with care. ✨💕
